About the Riders

Todd Glendenning

Todd Glendenning

I have served as Senior Pastor of my home church The Wesleyan Church of Orchard Park in Orchard Park, New York for 11 years, and fulltime in ministry for a total of 18 years. I graduated from Houghton College in 1993 and was Ordained in the Wesleyan Church in 2000.

The people of my church and I share a special bond. It is truly a wonderful gift to connect with people around the grace of God found in the Son, Jesus Christ. Through this common experience we have found meaningful relationships with God and with each other. My passion is for all to receive God’s peace and fullness in their lives and to discover the joy of sharing Him. My life’s verse is John 3:30, “He must increase and I must decrease.” It is my desire to yield my life fully to Jesus Christ, allowing Him to set the agenda of my life and change me as He sees fit.

My wife, Wendy, and I have been married for 21 years. She is kind, sincere, and beautiful. She can get along with anyone and I don’t remember ever seeing her get personally offended. It is truly a gift to know her. I get the added blessing of experiencing love continuing to grow with her.

We have four children to whom we gladly give much of our lives. Levi (17), Leah (15), Cori (15), and Jaimee (12). I love them and love to be their Dad. Although I sometimes miss the younger years we had together, I love the present more still.

Some other less meaningful things about me include:

I enjoy physical challenges from time to time. Not as much as my friend, Bill, does however. Yet after I turned 40, I have managed to run and complete a couple of marathons and took a bicycle tour from Orchard Park, New York to the state of Maine with my Son Levi and our friend Tim. Also, I enjoy working on our home and generally fixing things.

I am a Cost Segregation Consultant for Cost Segregation Partners and am employed by Freed Maxick Battaglia CPA. I have been in the construction industry for 12 years now and enjoy the different aspects that I have learned over the years.

I met Todd on our first visit to The Wesleyan Church of Orchard Park back when we moved to the Orchard Park area. He was the Assistant Pastor at the time and I instantly knew that if he ever became Senior Pastor I would join his flock because of his heart for God and love for people. That occurred 1 year later and we have been attending ever since, and are covenant members now. I serve as Trustee Chairperson and my wife is a valuable member of the Local Board of Advisors (LBA). We love our church and we love our fellowship with others locally and in the community.

My wife, Jane, and I have been married for 15 years and share our anniversary with Todd and Wendy. Jane has one attribute that outshines all her others – love. Her genuine love for others is shown through her selfless acts of cooking, baking, visiting, counseling, or just being a friend. She has more friends than I can ever remember anyone having, and they are true friends whom she deeply cares for. Her love enables Jane to be an excellent wife to me and mother to our children while also caring for my father who lives with us and has Parkinson’s disease.

We have two children who are such a reflection of Jane and me. Amelia is our oldest daughter (14) and she is my twin, good and bad. She has been blessed by God with an awesome musical talent and sings and plays guitar for whoever wants to listen and many times that is in front of our church for special music. Jake (11 but will be 12 in May) is Jane’s twin, all good. He is an aspiring athlete who is willing to stretch out and play drums for youth group or try out for a role in the school play in 5th grade. They test us, as we did our own parents, but we love them and truly value them as a blessing from God to be raised up in His ways!

Some other less meaningful things about me include:

I have always been physically active but never really found a true niche until I did an Adventure Race in 2006. From that moment on I have been hooked on pushing my body to different levels. I have completed a marathon, an ultra marathon, numerous bike races, and love to train on the bike, in the pool, cross country skiing throughout Western New York, or whatever else is available at the time.
